M. A. Donohue & Co. was a publishing company based in Chicago, IL. Established in 1861, it was best known for inexpensive editions of popular works of fiction for children. Nutcrackers have been made to represent many different people and occupations. Here we have a Scoutmaster and a Boy Scout. The Scout wears an Order of the Arrow Brotherhood sash with an OA Centennial patch.
