After completing the requirements for a specific rank, a Scout was recognized for his achievement at a Court of Honor Ceremony. He was awarded the corresponding badge, pin and card reflecting his new status. The Abraham Lincoln Council, Springfield, IL, serves all or parts of nine counties in central Illinois. It consists of the Honest Abe District, Lincoln Home District and Log Cabin/Railsplitter District.

The Council has sponsored an annual Lincoln Pilgrimage since 1946. The event includes historical trail hikes, a visit to the Lincoln home and a special flag ceremony at the Lincoln Tomb in Springfield. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, this year's 75th Pilgrimage was held virtually at (www.alincolnbsa.org

Arch Robison, Jr., was a member of Boy Scout Troop 4 in Findlay, Ohio throughout the late 1930s. In 1938, he was awarded this card, pin and the rank of First Class Scout. By 1940, he had achieved the rank of Star Scout.

Scouting in Hawaii has a history that predates U.S. Statehood. The oldest troop was founded by a British Scouter. Troop 1, known as The Queen's Own Troop, had the privilege of receiving a flag personally sewn by the last Hawaiian monarch, Queen Lili'uokalani.

The Honolulu Council was founded in 1914 and became the Honolulu County Council in 1924. In 1957, it became the Aloha Council which issued this America Frontiers Camporee mug.

This commemorative plate, with George Washington kneeling in prayer at center, was created for the Valley Forge Council by Wilton. The Pennsylvania company was well know for its silver colored, pewter style products made of Armetale, an aluminum-based alloy.

Robert C. Barker was an active member of Troop 7, Springfield, Ohio. He became a Tenderfoot Scout in 1940 and the following year was made Assistant Patrol Leader. He moved up in the ranks, becoming a Star Scout in 1943. Barker was awarded these two Scout Leader's Warrants as Senior Patrol Leader and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster in June, 1944.
